Christopher Murter, MD

Vascular Specialist

Dr. Murter earned his medical degree from Penn State University College of Medicine, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  He went on to the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY where he completed his general surgery residency.  Dr. Murter continued fellowship training in vascular surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA.  As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Murter is trained in the diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and conditions affecting the arteries and veins. His clinical interests include comprehensive vascular care, dialysis access, venous disease, carotid stenosis, PAD and aneurysm repair.

Dr. Murter is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Society for Vascular Surgery, and the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Murter practices with Sentara Vascular Specialists and sees patients at our Virginia Beach and Norfolk locations.
